Carla lives in Northwest Tucson. Snow is one of her foster dogs along with Dakota listed on the ASHRA Website.

She has posted this to CL and another post told her to call the news stations.

STOLEN DOG

A pure white Siberian Husky with blue eyes was stolen from me on 5-14-08 at 7:30 AM by a tall, well built, young black man with tattoos on his arms and he goes by the name of DEE. He drives a newer model white Surben and has a cousin or friend that lives at 92-2 E. Camino Villas 85705. This dog is about 1 1/2 years old, and he is sick and in need of medication. The dog answers to the name of SNOW. He has a blue collar and red leash and has ID tags. The man took him from me when I was walking him. If anyone has any information about this man or my dog please call Carla at 520-888-8644. I reported it to the police.

I hope this is also the correct place to put this.

Thanks,

John and Pam

Unbelievable how brazen people can be! Sounds like Carla knows quite a bit about this guy so hopefully they can track him down.

Will the police take on this case?? Wondering because animals do not have the same rights as a person (in which, it w/b treated as a missing persons case). I made the suggestion to her of putting it in her local paper - - as recently a lost dog was found in Ahwatukee by doing this. Jill

The police basically told her they could not do anything.

We had a similar case in Tempe not too long ago - the dog was stolen right out from under the guy's nose and the police told him the same thing.

Weird - as a dog is considered property & aren't the police supposed to investigate stolen property?

I guess not all stolen property is considered worth investigating. They don't do much about property stolen from a vehicle either.

Here's the latest update on Snow. This just keeps getting worse, but at least he is no longer in the hands of the guy who stole him.

Quote:
My pure white Siberian Husky with blue eyes was stolen from me in
Tucson, AZ. The man who took him went from Tucson to Killeen, TX where
he is now in jail. He said the dog got away from him in the Lake
Victor or Kingsland area.
The dog is thin and in need of medication.
I am offering a substantial REWARD for his safe return. His name is
SNOW, he is a neutered male about 1 1/2 years old, very friendly. If
anybody has seen him or can go into that area and look for him I would
greatly appreciate it. Anybody with any information please call Carla
at 520-888-8644. Thank you.

This came from Craig's List. Trying to find out if it is true. If so Great News for Snow and Carla.

I am very pleased to tell you that I just spoke to Carla and she got Snow back on Friday and he is doing well. He was found by a couple in Demings New Mexico and, thankfully, he still had his tags on so they were able to get ahold of Carla and she picked him up.
